Job description, responsibilities and duties

You will join a high-powered Cost Operations team that manages and executes service based cost management across Swiss Re. Candidate gets the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the global finance community, making sure that consistent, reliable and timely information is made available through the internal cost reporting tools. This capability provides Swiss Re's business units with transparency on their cost base and helps them streamline the value chain using a common service management framework. This team operates the management and accounting platform, facilitates the processes and drives on-going maturity of Group cost controlling at Swiss Re.

This role focuses on the administration, maintenance and reconciliation of internally developed cost reporting platforms, providing transparency on direct and indirect costs of the entire Swiss Re Group to legal carriers, Cost Centre owners, Department, Division & Function Heads, as well as Divisional Cost Controllers. Core reconciliation tasks include the comparison of costs out of the local accounting systems (BIS/Oracle) with the Group's cost reporting tool (Reveal) on a monthly basis. You will be responsible for running monthly cost reports for Business unit and Divisions, also owner of the process of creating/adjusting cost centres (via SADB).

• Month end reconciliation and analytics process - comparing cost from local accounting system (BIS/Oracle) with cost reported by group reporting management tool (Reveal/SR Cost)
• Global Accrual process ownership - coordination of the monthly booking of cost accruals to the local ledgers
• Cost centre opening/closing/amendment- responsibility for coordinating cost centre changes within in-house system (Signing authority DB)
• Ad-hoc reporting for business customers, esp. controlling and reconciliation analyses.
• Cost Plan/Projection booking manager - uploading the cost data for plan and projection to Swiss Re financial data store
• Participation on major finance transformation projects or initiatives at Swiss Re

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
