Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are a global team of Records and Information Management experts and consultants, allocated to the IT department of Swiss Re. We design the Records Management Framework, consult the business, provide services related to Records and Information Management, and we manage operational activities globally.

If you are passionate about finding optimal solutions in the area of Records and Information Management, we would like to speak to you about joining our dynamic and customer-oriented team.

• Consult and support internal clients in understanding and applying Swiss Re's Records Management Framework, including processes and systems. Implement best practices.
• Drive and carry out operational Records and Information Management processes independently (data analysis, data maintenance, data migration, data research, records disposal).
• Analyse and evaluate existing processes and solution designs aiming at continuous improvement.
• Identify and analyse requirements and contribute to change and release management in close collaboration with your team, the business, IT developers, application owners and other stakeholders. Plan and steer change requests and establish user guidance.
• Participate in projects and initiatives and ensure efficient completion of assigned tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with international stakeholders with various cultural and professional backgrounds.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in Information Science or Computer Science or equivalent education or working experience
• Ideally 3+ years' experience in the area of Records and Information Management or in consulting
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to establish and sustain relationships with internal clients while maintaining team’s strategic focus
• Solution oriented mind-set, service and client focus
• Demonstrate initiative, work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a "can do" attitude
• Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
• Good writing and presentation skills
• High degree of flexibility and proactive working style
• Motivated to learn and develop yourself and the team
• Ability to work in a multicultural and global environment
• Familiarity with (re-)insurance/financial services industry is a plus
• Experience in information & data governance as well as in IT project management is an asset
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
