Job description, responsibilities and duties

As the Head Facility Management you are responsible for the Corporate Real Estate and Logistics Department (CRE&LO) of the Bratislava location, which currently counts more than 1'100 employees. Together with your team you ensure stable and sustainable daily operations, a safe working environment in line with local legislation and support the growth strategy of the location. The emphasis is put on relationship management with internal stakeholders and service providers as well as on the development of the local CRE&LO team.

You will manage a team of approximately 13 motivated people specialised in Building management, Reception, Internal Services, Functional management and Workplace management. You will also be part of the CRE&LO EMEA Leadership team and Bratislava Leadership team.

Main responsibilities:
- Lead a team of approximately 13 employees and be responsible for the Performance management for all your direct reports in line with Swiss Re internal guidelines
- Discuss, develop and implement personal growth plan for your team members.
- Be our Safety & Security Officer for the Bratislava location
- Ensure stable and sustainable provision of all CRE&LO services in line with business demand
- Revise and update the CRE&LO service catalogue and related processes on regular basis (e.g. provision of new services, decommission of outdated service etc.), simplifying and improving the processes and/or services (continuous improvement).
- Prepare an Action and Investment plan (3-year-plan) including preparation of budget covering all CRE&LO activities and provision of services
- Actively manage the workplaces
- Have interactions with all main stakeholders of CRE&LO on a regular basis and build up and maintain a good partnership with them as one of your priorities
- Be the key person to provide regular update on CRE&LO activities to appropriate committees and to your line manager.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders on the CRE&LO team and its services
- Design and implement a new operating model for the future Bratislava Campus within Twin City

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

You have:
- University degree with technical specialization and/or business administration
- 5 years of experience in Real Estate and Facility Management for office premises
- Several years of experience as project manager
- 5 years of experience in leading and developing a team
- Experience in leading an organisational unit in a global company is a valuable asset.

You are:
- A motivated and solution oriented person with positive and proactive approach towards work and the ability to build and maintain good partnerships
- A great team player
- An excellent presenter and communicator

Additional assets:
- Advanced business English (written and spoken) required
- German is welcome
- Advanced MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
