Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you will be part of a team within the larger L&H IT organization.
The primary focus of this position is to support the delivery of SR internal and external (services for SR clients) applications in the area of L&H and Underwriting (UW) in particular. The usage of these system ranges from UW case tracking and case exchange solutions to the automation of UW decisions.
Working on large scale initiatives involves gathering and documenting business requirements, the development of functional and non-functional specifications and testing the solution. You will be working on these activities in close liaison with internal and external partners from both business and IT departments.
Our team includes business analysis and UI/UX experts having in-depth knowledge in both reinsurance and IT. We are based in Zurich and Bratislava and work in a global L&H IT and business environment.
• Analyse and define solutions for complex business requirements - gather business requirements and specify according functional and non-functional specifications
• Build and maintain a trusted relationship with our customers and technical teams
• Continually seek ways to improve and enhance the quality of applications and the process of application development and maintenance
• Maintain a focus on a high level of quality of requirements and specification documents
• Share knowledge and support team members and peers
• Help to organize and run the user acceptance testing
• Business operations support

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven business analysis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complicated and complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
• A background in (re)insurance is a plus
• Strong customer focus
• Knowledgeable in project management methodology - experience in project management is a plus
• Experience in agile Software Development methodology
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently as well as within a global team
• Ability to work under pressure and high level of flexibility
• Proven ability to get things done
• Experience relating to usability is a plus
• Experience in working with outsourcing partners is a plus
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
