About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join and lead the newly formed Enterprise Architecture team of five people in Bratislava. You will be responsible for managing and developing the team as well as delivering high quality and cross-domain enterprise architecture services.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to actively work in a cross-functional, global and dynamic environment with colleagues across Business Functions and Information Technology, and to apply end-to-end architecture development frameworks and consulting methodologies. You will lead, execute or support enterprise-wide and cross-functional architecture improvement initiatives while maintaining the long-term view to meet key business objectives and embedding the benefits of modern technologies: Cloud, Digital Workplace, and Digital Transformation.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
• You understand the importance of the business and IT strategies as well as evolving business needs with regards to technologies, capabilities, processes and information requirements
• You as the team lead will have the overarching and cross-functional view on ongoing initiatives and you are responsible to create the transparency from an architectural perspective to ensure cross-functional alignment among different architectural layers for Swiss Re
• You will establish and sustain strong connections with business teams by taking on key roles within projects and positioning Enterprise Architecture and its value proposition
• You will globally collaborate with partners to identify improvement opportunities, propose initiatives, and drive change in collaboration with Business and IT experts
• You will support the Head of Enterprise Architecture in facilitating senior management decision processes by preparing strategic analyses to support the implementation of the Group enterprise architecture
• You thrive while working under pressure in a complex environment and you are able to think in the big picture to identify and prioritize focus areas
• You are curious to learn new things and change excites you

About the Team
We in Enterprise Architecture design and drive a coherent enterprise by ensuring architecture is aligned with Swiss Re's strategy and operating model. We cover all architectural layers and use different perspectives to design a coherent enterprise architecture.
We translate strategy into architecture and drive the transformation end-to-end being involved in key initiatives and projects of high strategic relevance. To do so, we provide a broad range of architecture services including:
• Business Process and Capability Architecture
• Information Architecture
• Application Architecture
• Governance Design and Mentorship
• Solution Architecture

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Qualification and Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in information management, computer science, economics or similar field of study
• Several years of experience working in a leading Enterprise Architecture or related role
• Leadership and project management expertise

Personal Characteristics and Skills:
• Servant leadership skills: taking ownership, motivating others, establishing a culture of continuous improvement
• Process core knowledge and skills across architecture levels (Capability Modelling, Business Process Architecture, Information Architecture, and Application Architecture)
• Business analysis skills and the ability of high-level abstraction, fast understanding, and conceptual thinking
• Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills to introduce complex subjects to different communities (MS Office, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint)
• Stakeholder management and consultancy skills to drive and facilitate senior management level discussions
• The ability to develop and foster an environment of collaboration in which people share information and communicate clearly, candidly and openly
• Strong accountability and delivery skills
• (Re-)insurance business understanding is a plus

Language requirements:
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English, further languages are an asset
