We ensure that we pay out that hundred million dollar claim on time, but also that we don't miss a ten euro invoice for apples brough to our offices. We are a team that supports curious people, autonomous thinkers, who are up for a challenge to not only learn what we do, but continuously think about possible improvements to our processes.

Among other activities, our team members handle end to end payment process for all outgoing and incoming payments, reconcile bank accounts, and triage previously received installments. We also actively communicate with banks, investigating discrepancies in payment details. The chosen candidate will become a part of an outstanding team with team members that support each other and help new-joiners assimilate quickly.

-You will get your own portfolio of bank accounts, which will allow you to build professional relationships with your business partners
-One of your main daily tasks will be posting all incoming/outgoing entries of your portfolio into the system
-You will participate and eventually coordinate quarterly closing activities and reconciliations
-You will partake and lead some of our ongoing projects
-You will be encouraged to represent our function on various cross-team platforms
-We know you will encounter errors from time to time, however we always stand behind our staff and will assist you with resolution

About the Team
The Payments & Receipt team consists of 23 members of different ages. Our scope covers Europe, South Africa, Australia and some Asian countries. Administration of payment connections and communication with our partners is essential. Another aspect of our work is involvement in global and team projects and initiatives. This gives everyone a chance to take part in sculpting the future way of doing things, it will encourage you to come up with and develop new ideas and creative solutions. We value team cooperation, but also individuality and self-realization.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

-You have a minimum of two years of working experience in accounting/payments field, giving you a deep understanding as well as practical experience of accounting principles and activities
-It is a major advantage if you are familiar with any of the following: SAP GL system, Oracle GL system, TRAX, GTX
-You are a confident, fluent English speaker and see no challenge in communicating verbally and in writing over complex issues. Being proficient in any other European language is an advantage
-You can show a consistent record of participating and coordinating various Financial closing activities
-You are knowledgeable in MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Access) and have good verbal and written business social skills
-You are an independent thinker who is detail oriented who will not only blindly follow manuals, but also evaluate them and assess if they can be improved.
