Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Responsible for identifying and procuring the goods and services
- Arrange for the purchase and delivery of the goods
- Work with other parts of the organization to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels
- Take orders from within the organization responsible for the inventory management
- Assist in the receipt of purchased materials and services
- Carefully monitor and ensure on time deliveries and any past due shipments
- Communicate supplier’s problems/issues to Purchaser
- Communication with internal customers (means production, incoming, planning, etc.) problems/issues related to purchased materials/components/services
- Actively suggest and participate on continuous improvements
