Job description, responsibilities and duties

Stage 1:
* Use prior experience to advise management on the best stock tracking methods.
* Organise the warehouse to ensure that everyhing is easily identifiable.
Stage 2:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory ( raw materials, fixtures and fitting and finished goods ) using our ERP system Syspro
- Allocate material usage for all jobs. Create a report of material cost per job and share with senior management weekly.
-Plan work for preparation operators to meet production requirements.
- Manage preparation department operators by providing them with daily / weekly work Schedule.
- Provide daily updates to production manager about progress of material preparation.
- Run weekly stock level and stock movement reports and share with senior management.
- Work with purchasers to ensure that agreed minimum stock levels are kept.
- Work with BOM engineer; preparation sepervisor and saw operators to ensure maximum material yield.
- Perform quarterly stock counts.
- Enforce compliance with new agreed procedures.
- Keep warehouses organised and ensure that everything is easily identifiable.

English language B level,
5+ year work experience as a warehouse manager / stock controller in a manufacturing environment
Computer literate:
- 5+ years ´ experience using computerised systems to track stock levels
- advance Microsoft Office use ( particularly Microsoft Excel)
Ability to work independently
Ability to create and implement efficient stock tracking procedures where they currently may not exist
Excellent organisation and planning skills


Brief description of the company

Stonbridge are a major supplier of preformed Wood components for a wide range of applications. While furniture accounts for the majority of our production, we supple an increasing amount to the manufacturing and construction Industry. Our curved components are usually produced from Birch or Beech rotary cut veneers for both show wood and upholstery quality. We also work with other materials such as Reholz 3D veneer, decorative veneer, plywood ( bent plywood and curved plywood), MDF, chipboard, laminate, cork and linoleum.

We are currently in the process of implementing a Materials and Operations Management system and require large amounts of BOM data to be calculated and input onto our sytem. We are looking for an experienced candidate who has experience in both BOM creation and CAD drawing manipulation.
