Job description, responsibilities and duties
OVERVIEW:
At Sportradar we’ve experienced a period of sustained hypergrowth through a highly focused strategy based upon providing sport league related data and audio visuals to betting operators and media companies around the world. We are currently hiring Senior Accountant in our centralized accounting team for Sportradar Group.
The Senior Accountant reports to the Head of Accounting and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations for international companies within the Sportradar Group. As the organisation is currently implementing a new ERP system, your responsibility will also be to participate on the redesigning of financial processes with special focus on efficiency, accuracy and compliance standards. Further, the candidate will be responsible for quality assurance in local periodical closes and involved in local audit activities.
THE CHALLENGE:
Independent general ledger bookkeeping for all kinds of accounting tasks, maintenance for several entities within Sportradar Group
Month-end/Quarter and Year-end closing tasks and ensuring timely completion
Support with VAT and withholding tax filling and tax compliance
Assist with ad hoc projects assigned by Head of Accounting
Assist with annual audits
Contribute to ERP implementation and process improvements
YOUR PROFILE:
Certified Financial Accountant or university degree with special focus on accounting would be preferred
Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong experience working in complex/general ledger accounting ideally in international groups
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Professional MS Office skills – especially Excel, D365 knowledge highly appreciated
Excellent analytical skills
Exposure to SOX environment is advantage
Experience and proven knowledge of IFRS is highly welcomed
Experience with various ERP tools such as project experience with implementing new ERP solutions
