OVERVIEW:

At Sportradar we’ve experienced a period of sustained hypergrowth through a highly focused strategy based upon providing sport league related data and audio visuals to betting operators and media companies around the world. We are currently hiring Accounting Team Lead in our centralized accounting team for Sportradar Group. The Accounting Team Lead is a bridge between accountants and the department leadership team.

The Accounting Team Lead reports to the Head of Accounting and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations for international companies within the Sportradar Group (DACH region and Holdings) and will supervise and lead a smaller accounting team. As the organisation is currently implementing a new ERP system, your responsibility will also be to participate on the redesigning of financial processes with special focus on efficiency, accuracy and compliance standards.

The successful candidate has excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, allowing him/her to significantly contribute to the development of the global Finance function by driving external financial reporting for Sportradar Group to the next level. Furthermore he/she is used to deal with highly sensitive information and able to lead communications with stakeholders.

THE CHALLENGE:

Team-lead responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the team including account receivables, incoming invoices, bank postings, fixed assets accounting, intercompany transactions, etc. and ensure adequate back up for critical operations
Troubleshooting and helping team members with various questions
Assist in the recruitment of the new team members
Invest in development and growth of team members
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other teams
Review and analyze accounts to ensure that account balances are within expected ranges
Assist with process improvements, automation and new ERP system implementation
Day-to-day operational responsibilities

Independent general ledger bookkeeping for all kinds of accounting tasks, maintenance for several entities within Sportradar Group
Month-end/Quarter and Year-end closing tasks and ensuring timely completion
Support with VAT and withholding tax filling and tax compliance
Assist with ad hoc projects assigned by Head of Accounting
Coordinate and complete annual audits

YOUR PROFILE:

Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Minimum 2 years team lead experience
Strong experience working in complex/general ledger accounting ideally in international groups
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Professional MS Office skills – especially Excel, D365 knowledge highly appreciated
Strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exposure to SOX environment is advantage
Proven knowledge of IFRS
Experience with various ERP tools such as project experience with implementing new ERP solutions
