Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is reporting to Manager, Accounts Payable Europe and is responsible for coordination of the Accounts payable Europe team, ensuring that the team completes their daily, weekly or monthly tasks as per given job description. The Accounts Payable Lead should possess strong communication skills and be able to multi-task and be proactive and prioritize Accounts Payable issues whilst driving the root cause Analysis of those issues. Accounts Payable Lead is the first point of escalation. Think critically and continuously improve the mindset by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders and as well with internal finance departments & Leaders.

What will you work on?

• Coordinate and ensure that tasks are completed by the team in a timely manner and accurately, backup when required:
o PO/Non-PO invoice processing
o Liaise with Buyers, Procurement, Vendors, Finance on any related issue
o Preparation of weekly payment runs
o Processing of T&Es and Credit Card employee expenses
o Process accruals
o Open Items reporting with actions for resolution
o GR/IR reconciliation
• Drive DPO reduction
• Conduct root cause analysis and drives continuous improvements
• Consolidate and harmonize reporting
• Work with internal controls and external auditors
• Produce monthly and quarterly and ad-hoc business reporting as required
• Act as first level of escalation point to the Team, Business and Finance management
• Develop positive work environment
• Participation on recruitment process, performance management, goals setting, coaching and team development, regular individual and team meetings, career discussions, working on employee engagement increase, collaboration with HR and business leaders, comply to company processes & Policies
• Work closely with manager and prepare mid-year and yearly performance evaluations
• Review, investigate and actively resolve issues related to company credit cards, travel and expense management, SAP concur accounts and other issues
• Supporting monthly closing activities and open items reporting
• Drive team targets, performance measurement
• Prepare and Analyse Financial Information and Reporting and provide to management
• Identify business process gaps and work towards improvement of existing workflow and reduce posting and payment errors
• Actively explore opportunities for process improvements
• Active involvement in ad hoc projects
• Build relationship & cooperates with other internal and external stakeholders
• Build and maintain partnership, effective communication, collaboration, and working relationships with FMs and FAs
• Other ad hoc tasks and duties as assigned by manager

What are your skills and experience?

• Bachelor’s degree
• Accounting/Finance Education
• A minimum 5+ years of related experience in a mid to large sized company, preferred in Finance, advantage is experience in Accounts Payable
• Participation on numerous projects and leadership skills
• Experience with SAP system required, with SAP 4/HANA advantage
• Experience in Procure to Pay, Travel and Expense management, Credit card program preferred
• Experience with SAP Concur, SNOW, JIRA advantage
• Strong computer skills in MS Office and advanced Excel experience would be an advantage
• Leadership experience is an advantage
