Job description, responsibilities and duties
General:
Responsible for cross functional consensus Demand Planning (forecasting) processes with Sales and Marketing. Senior Manager, Demand Planning Europe should be well organized to ensure we respond to our consumer demand in a timely and effective manner. Deliver the right products at the right time. Will also analyze multiple history streams including POS/consumption data, and inventory change projections as well as utilize advanced demand planning system and reporting engine output to execute the cross-functional consensus process and challenge/negotiate forecasts to ensure accuracy.
Specific Responsibilities:
Manage and assist the demand planning to align ways of working and ensure visibility on short and long term planning.
Maintain and guarantee effective use of all demand planning system functionality to enable an exception based approach and reflect the lifecycle of products.
Ensure commitment from all functions, build and maintain good communication and collaboration both within Supply Chain and with Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance in order to collate information and assumptions.
Develop and maintain the forecast of demand by generating and delivering the demand plan for a given portfolio of products, locations and/or customers and ensuring that the business planning is operated at the correct level of aggregation.
Systematically identify and work to reconcile discrepancies and close gaps among inputs on an ongoing basis.
Owns and facilitates monthly S&OP forecast consensus process resulting in a rolling 18 month demand plans.
Strong project management skills with proven success in delivering complex projects.
Strong collaboration and influence management skills as evident by cross functional alignment and delivery of initiatives.
Track monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast error below targets. Drive process improvements to improve forecast error.
Play a lead role in the monthly demand agreement process.
Hire, train and mentor new demand planners. Work across peer group to lead and participate in major process improvement activities.
Support ongoing improvements in IBP DP and other systems
