Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Advising banks, asset managers, and exchanges on optimizing operations and settlement processes
- Developing and implementing efficient strategies for trade processing, clearing, and settlement
- Evaluating and improving post-trade operations, including collateral management, custody and reconciliation workflows
- Supporting clients in aligning with regulatory frameworks, such as T+1 settlement, MiFID II, CSDR
- Driving digital transformation initiatives in operations through automation and adoption of emerging technologies
- Collaborating with clients to design and implement Target Operating Models (TOM) for settlement and operations
- Analyzing and mitigating operational risks and improving resilience in financial market infrastructures
- Conducting workshops and training sessions for internal teams and clients on operations and settlement best practices

Personality requirements and skills
- Completed degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (Master’s/MBA or PhD preferred)
- Several years of professional experience (3-7 years) in financial operations, settlement, collateral management or post-trade services
- In-depth knowledge of clearing and settlement mechanisms, collateral management, custody services, and financial market infrastructures
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., T+1 settlement, MiFID II, CSDR, Basel III) and their impact on operations
- Experience with digital transformation technologies, including automation, AI, and blockchain in settlement processes
- Proficiency in creating and developing functional and technical architectures for operations
- Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Capability to lead projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- High self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to adapt to complex challenges
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to improving processes
- Teamwork and intercultural competence
