Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Advising risk departments in strategic, regulatory, and business-related matters
- Analysis and implementation of regulatory requirements in risk controlling (e.g. Basek III / IV)
- Improving processes, governance, and controls within risk management frameworks
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing risk and valuation models
- Leading and managing teams to deliver outstanding project results
- Managing client relationships and providing thought leadership on risk management
- Monitoring market developments and identifying new trends as well as developing appropriate solutions

Requirements for the employee
Candidates with education suit the position
Postgraduate (Doctorate)
Personality requirements and skills
- Completed degree in finance, economics, computer science, business administration, or a related field (Master’s/MBA or PhD preferred
- Several years of professional experience in the financial sector, with a focus on risk management frameworks, models, processes, and methods, or obtained with a consulting firm
- A solid understanding of risk management processes and methodsSolid regulatory knowledge (e.g. Basel III / IV, MaRisk, etc.) and/or experience in the implementation of risk or valuation models
-Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
-Structured way of working and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical and regulatory topics for diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of and experience in data analysis, risk data models, and tools are an advantage
- High self-motivation, flexibility, and willingness to travel
- Teamwork and intercultural competence
- And last but not least...a healthy sense of humor
