Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a senior engineer, you will collaborate with and mentor a local team of 4-5 developers, providing technical guidance and assistance as needed. You will be part of a team catering for apps for core contract processes, working side-by-side with business engineers, data engineers and other technology professionals. You will be fully engaged in the architecture & design discussion going cross various technologies, namely Java, Angular and Azure.
In your role you are responsible for:
- Participating in Solution Design & Implementation
- Development of new applications together with the team
- Continuous improvement and maintenance of existing applications
- Use of modern UI/UX
- Act as a lead engineer in your area
- Defining/improving best practices for building, testing and deploying of applications
- Staying on top of emerging trends and help the organization in making informed technology decisions

Personality requirements and skills
- proven experience with Java, Angular or other Node.js based apps, Docker
- proven experience with developing distributed systems hosted in public clouds on Kubernetes
- Scripting and coding: Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell) and programming languages (Java, - Java-/Typescript) to automate tasks and processes.
- Experience with leading small development teams in a hybrid (virtual and office) setup
- Enjoy teamwork with the ability to work responsibly, self-reliant and result-oriented
