Server Virtualization and Storage Specialist

Soitron is currently looking for Server Virtualization and Storage specialist. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the areas of Windows administration, virtual machines (VMware, HyperV), Storage&Backup and Citrix.

Daily tasks as Server Virtualization and Storage specialist will be:
• Review tickets assigned to you, analyze, solve or reassign it accordingly
• Log in to Teams and start constant communication with the NOC, Service Desk and 2nd level Operations teams.
• Start monitoring Services
• Attend any issue or topic related to keep virtualization, storage, backup in their status quo
• Provide support when required for 2nd level incidents
• Attend schedule meetings
• Review any problem record assigned and document it
• Asses and execute any action related to services related to virtualization, storage, backup.

Tasks to achieve:
• Virtual and Physical Windows Server administration and support using VMWare or Hyper-V.
• Support and administration of Citrix environments
• Support and administration of virtual and physical windows servers.
• Maintain and Support the Print and File servers of the company.
• Serve as 2nd Level support for Incident Management process related to servers and Citrix.
• Serve as 2nd Level support for Incident Management Process for server related issues.
• Identify areas of improvement and innovation for IT services under your responsibility
• Follow the Change Management Process for any new implementations or changes to the server environment
• Participate on the Problem Analysis and contribute in the solution and preventive measures, for server and Citrix related problems.
• Participate on the Problem Analysis and contribute on the remediation and preventive measures, for Server related problems.
• Develop technical documentation and work instructions for the IT services under your responsibility
• Collaborate and provide training or knowledge transfer to other IT areas.
• Participate on the Sunday monthly maintenance.

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Windows server administration - Skillful
Microsoft Hyper-V - Skillful
VMware - Skillful

Expected competencies:
• Strong knowledge on Windows Server OS.
• Knowledge of Collaboration tools like Teams or SharePoint.
• ITIL knowledge and experience (Incident,Problem, Change ), certification is desirable
• Strong knowledge and experience with Hypervisors tools.
• Strong knowledge and experience with storage tools and services
• Strong knowledge and experience with backup tools and services
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communications skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information.
• Must be proactive and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, end users, and with external vendors.
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication skills.
• Fluent English 90%, any other language is a plus
