Junior VMware Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing Virtual Private Cloud
• Configure and manage VMware virtualization environment (vSphere 5.x, 6.x)
• Contribute to the design, documentation, testing to ensure solutions, security, scalability, maintainability, reliability upon deployment
• Contribute to development of the automation of provisioning, configuration, patching by using scripts and automation tools
• Help to develop and execute test plans for unit and system integration testing
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Remediate platform security vulnerabilities detected by the vulnerability scanner
• Develop strategy to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application
• Coordinate activities with other technical personnel as appropriate

Requirements :

• 2 years of experience with VMware Virtualization, install, configure and manage VMware environment, preferably including Datacenter cluster(s) and managed by vCenter, experience with contributing to design is advantage
• Bash, PowerCLI, PowerShell or equivalent demonstrated experience is a must
• Knowledge and basic admin experience with Linux
• Fundamental network knowledge, skills and experience with data center environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills
• Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills
• Requires limited supervision, self-starter, strong time management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues
• Ability to work flexible hours
