Junior Software Distribution Administrator position is suitable for candidates with previous Windows Server administration background or advanced Windows Client/end-user support engineers who are interested in expanding their skillset beyond the OS level. Previous knowledge of SCCM is not required but welcome. Trainings and support will be provided internally, either by assigned “buddy” or via internal/external courses.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage environment wide Software Deployments to customer environments
Create and provide inventory reports or deployment status reports
Closely cooperate and support colleagues from dependent teams
Operate Software Update Deployments to Clients and Servers (WSUS/SCCM)
Create, Develop, Update and Test various Operating System Deployment Task Sequences within the release cycle
Participate in development of improvements for existing environments such as deployment or reporting automation
Participate in new projects – potentially “Build” phase
Software Distribution related document creation (Manuals, Guidelines, technical documentation)
Willingness to travel abroad when such need is identified
Stay in contact with other involved groups or individuals (customer contact points, colleagues abroad, other service teams within the company)
Fulfill SLA requirements of incoming requests
2nd Level Support for incidents
2nd level on-duty support in non-office hours
2nd level support and handling of the Incidents and Change-Management
Participating in 2nd Level 24/7 on call duty
Short-term (usually a 1-2 weeks) business trips to Germany

REQUIREMENTS:

Administrator Knowledge of 1 year with supporting Windows Server 2008 or higher
Administrator Knowledge of 1 year Windows 7 or higher (registry, services, system logs, UAC, user profile, windows update, task scheduler)
Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Network
Experience with PowerShell is a plus
Experience with any of the following products:
System Center Configuration Manager 2007 or 2012
Windows Server 2008 or higher
Windows 7 or higher
Active Directory Domain Services 2008 or higher
Windows Server Networking 2008 or higher
Experience of working in ITIL driven company is a plus
Fluency spoken and written English
German language skills are a plus
