Job description, responsibilities and duties

The mission of the Procurement department in the local subsidiary of multinational financial corporation is to ensure the sustainable development and profitability of the company by driving the competitive advantage from the supply markets.
The main objectives are:
- Bring TCO effectiveness across all categories
- Understand relevant markets, develop category strategies and manage the relevant spend
- Secure future business needs by engaging the right suppliers and creating “high value for money” supply chains
- Support the business by managing supplier relationships and by identifying the innovations from supply markets
- Serve CFO by securing that financial resources are spent efficiently
- Ensure compliance of external spend with firm processes and detail data analysis
For this department, we are currently looking for a Sourcing Manager.
Head of Sourcing manages a team of 6+ sourcers and reports to Supply Chain Director. You will be responsible for setting up, controlling and implementing contracts by means of the standard 7 step strategic sourcing process. You will be a leader of a team working on sourcing projects together with subject matter experts and your role will be to:
• Build and lead the high-performance team responsible for sourcing of selected category portfolio
• Assume accountability for the effectiveness and full transparency of relevant procurement spend
• Steer the cross-divisional teams towards important decisions on priorities, strategy and tactics toward the fast-paced, modern and efficient vendor selections
• Develop and coordinate consistent and efficient supply strategies and sourcing concepts according to the latest benchmarks
• Conclude and manage the supply contracts
• Drive optimization and implement initiatives for continuous improvement of the relevant data and processes; especially in the context of procurement compliance and digital transformation
• Manage the supplier performance, represent the firm in negotiations and create financial commitments
• Build partnerships and further manage relationships with the relevant stakeholders and local Management
• Identify and further develop the talents, coach individualities to create professional high-performance team
