Under the supervision of the CFO, the Regional Financial Controller (RFC) manages the financial operations of the Central South-East Region (CSEE). This involves preparing and presenting financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, and following the rules and regulations for finance. The role needs effective leadership, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work with different teams to achieve financial goals. RFC reports to the CFO CSEE and acts as a consultant to CSEE management team, plant managements, especially plant Financial Controllers and finance staff.
Main Tasks/Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the region and plants.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis for the assigned region, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Evaluate key financial metrics and indicators to identify areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for the region.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with plants to with plans to develop accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Work closely with plants to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational activities.
Reporting and Presentation
- Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for regional and corporate leadership.
- Present findings, analysis, and recommendations to executive management during meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with regional management team and plant executives to understand business objectives and financial needs.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial guidance to support decision-making processes.
Key Competencies
Academic background
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is an advantage.
Experience, Skills and Competences
- Proven experience of 2-5 years as a financial analyst, preferably with a focus on regional or geographic analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems (HFM and SAP knowledge will be a strong advantage)
- Data interpretation and visualization
- Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
