Risk Manager (Erste Asset Management GmbH, pobočka Slovenská republika the “Company”)

Erste Asset Management GmbH, pobočka Slovenská republika, as organizational unit of Erste Asset Management (Erste Group Bank), is responsible for investment fund and portfolio management activities in Slovakia. Your tasks and responsibilities:

We are looking for Risk IT specialist in our Risk Management division to maintain and develop risk databases essential for valuing financial instruments in our portfolio and daily risk reporting. The successful candidate is proficient in automating daily and regular risk reporting processes using tools like MS Excel VBA, MS Access, Matlab or Oracle databases. Additionally, a basic understanding of financial instruments and designing quantitative models related to risk measurement are preferred.

• Valuation of financial instruments in fund portfolios on daily basis.
• Maintaining databases and automating routine for valuation of financial instruments in fund portfolios,
• Ensure data quality in databases and its maintenance by reconciling the different outputs from databases,
• Collaborate on the development and testing of externally provided software solutions for managing funds and portfolios,
• Preparation of reporting for the Supervisory Board of EAM, Management of Branch, NBS.
• Designing and developing quantitative models related to risk measurement according to the requirements of current legislation or EAM,
• Supervise and control legal, statutory and internal limits of funds and actively managed portfolios on a daily basis,
• Evaluate risk parameters of financial instruments and portfolios, actively participate in risk management (market risk, liquidity, credit, operational, risks associated with the real estate market),
• Evaluate the risk of money laundering (AML),
• Communicate with the local regulator (Národná banka Slovenska) and the Depository Bank in the area of risk management and valuation of financial instruments,

Your offer:

• Your knowledge of MS – Excel including active VBA coding, SQL and Oracle or MS Access dbs is an essential
• Your knowledge of Power BI, Python Matlab or R is an advance
• You have University degree in IT, economics, mathematical or statistical methods
• You have experience at least 1 years in the financial sector or in the programming or in the developing software,
• Your experience in the field of risk management or statistical data processing is a big advantage,
• Your knowledge of financial instruments, financial markets and market risks is an advantage,
• English (active knowledge B2),
• You are a team player and like to take over responsibility,
• You are organized and have a hands-on mentality, • Analytical thinking, strong communication and presentation skills complete your profile.

• We are obliged by law to quote the minimum gross basic salary per month for this position. Stated wage is minimal guaranteed gross basic salary per month. The real wage can be higher based on your professional qualifications, knowledge and personal characteristics.
