Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a new addition to our small finance team. In this role you will represent a strong foothold for our daily financial operational task. Your role
- Prepare underlying documentation for subsequent accounting entries
- Performing journal entries
- Preparation of monthly pre-closing activities
- Issuing and amending of customer invoices 
- Petty-cash administration
- Cost reimbursement
- Record and review daily cash transactions
- Preparation of bank transfers and bank transcripts

How does our selection process look like?
Finding a perfect match is very important for us, so we put a lot of effort in getting to know you as much as possible. The selection process takes around 3 weeks and consists of a practical case study (accounting+excel), short phone call and 3 personal interviews (with your potential colleague from our Finance team, with our CFO and with our CEO).

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

Must have
- At least 2-3 years of experience on a similar position
- Expert knowledge of Slovak accounting standards
- Entry level understanding of income tax and value added tax concepts
- Advanced knowledge of English (also financial terminology)
- Advanced skills with Excel/Google sheet functions
- Punctual, independent, detail-oriented and responsible
- Simply clever, Caring and Driven

Nice to have
- Working experience with various accounting programs
- University education from Finance/Business Administration
- Knowledge of international accounting standards
- Previous experience with payroll
