For our client, one of the biggest chain store, we have opened the position:


Managing product and supplier performance in my category in countries where supplier base is located to ensure products, processes, producers and suppliers are safe, legal, ethical, they all meet relevant company policies, audit requirements and customer expectation so that I am enable to eliminate and prevent any deficiency that may potentially put customers or the brand integrity at risk.

Key activities
• Manage the supplier base (in-country, CE and outside of CE) to help them to achieve standards described in company Product Rules, Policies and technical standards
• Identify new suppliers, propose potential site and production consolidation
• Set a clear site visit plan based on risk assessment and keep it updated for any local and outside of CE supplier
• Visit suppliers according to the schedule and register all visits in internal database
• Cooperate with Audit Service Provider to establish supplier base technical audit plan
• Track and close all non-conformances following technical audit by control of Corrective Action Plan
• Manage ethical trading within the supplier base in line with company Ethical Trading Policy by assessing ethical risk of every new supplier and by monitoring ethical performance of every existing supplier
• Follow up on completion of corrective action plans agreed according to any non-conformity indicated in third party ethical audit report
• Support tenders, record all necessary technical requirements in Product Briefs
• If applicable develop new products with Brand and Buying teams in accordance with NPD critical path (e.g. single ingredients, commodity, produce)
• Make sure you understand any local law in CE countries related to my category. This is to avoid potential safety & legality challenges
• Approve Technical Specifications to make sure products are safe, legal and in line with company Rules & Policies
• Follow up on enforcement challenges related to the product in my category in any of the CE countries. Work out with other functions the best possible response to avoid high penalty and reputational risk
• Work with relevant colleagues at legal department and build relationships with authorities that positively influences the relationship and help us to improve my category’s processes accordingly
• Follow up on customer and store complaints related to the product in my category in any of the CE countries.
• Support Operational Standards team in my category related issues
• Lead the product quality review in my category in accordance with legal requirements, product specification and/or market overview
• Work with suppliers on product reviews in accordance with legal requirements, product specifications and/or market overview
• Review quality of the product against benchmark in my category to be able to discover and work on any non-conformities
• Actively monitor legislation changes in any of the CE country and manage implementation of the change for products in my category
• Support actively any reporting process related to technical team (KPIs, Supplier Risk assessment and others)
• Actively monitor any NGO’s and in-country authority activity related to my category to minimize any legal and reputational risks

• University degree (relevant to product category)
• English language fluent
• 3-year experience in manufacturing or retail
• Driving license, cat. B

• Good communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge on local and European legislation relevant to product category
• Flexible approach, resilience, responsiveness, decision making skills, team work
• Good negotiation skills
• Willing to study and learn new areas
