Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job Purpose: Drive performance of Business Unit (BU) product portfolio from distribution into pharmacies, modern and independent trade. To enhance perception of GSK products among HCP´s within GSK values, ethical standards and local market legislation. To ensure achievement of total BU targets by proper management of team of sales representatives (SR´s) in Slovakia

Key Responsibilities:
• To create, implement and evaluate regional sales plans for individual sales representatives (SR´s) in order to achieve defined sales targets
• To evaluate sales results and other activities of SR´s in order to measure their performance and further enhance their competences.
• To coach SR´s and Senior sales representatives in order to develop their professional careers within GSK.
• To participate in sales cycle planning sessions to set up priorities and targets for each sales cycle during the year.
• Manage sales cycle meetings in order to motivate and clearly brief sales teams about sales priorities before each sales cycle.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in value terms with given accounts.
• Deliver annual TOT target, continuous follow up on ROI.
• Consult and inform GSKs other departments in all issues, opportunities, topics relevant to their role.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual review planning of sales, as broken down by accounts and SKUs as part of the demand review process.
• Develops and implements account based promotional plans for accounts with Shopper Team in line with GSKs effort priorities.
• Continuous improvement of product visibility via shelf-share, off-shelf placement POS materials.
• Continuously monitors competitive environment and customer demand, pre-active approach
• Effectively monitors timely payments.
• Monitors standard and promotional retail prices for internal purposes.
• Ensure regular reporting in line with agreed standards

Accountability:
• Commercial Execution: channel/customer results, channel/customer share, profit plus gross margin, trade investment management, win/win commercial results through collaborative ways of working and effective negotiation.
• Category & Brands: market share, net sales, net profit, category/brand sales, shelf space/location, implementing Customer and Category plans at point of purchase.
• Scientific Innovation: regulatory requirements, innovation sales.
• Supply Chain & Cost Control: forecast accuracy (GSK internal target).
• Talent & Culture: 360 Feedback. Be compliant to GSK Code of Conduct and GSK Code of Marketing Practice as well as the local regulations related to sales and marketing activities

• Gross to Net (trade $) vs. Budget
• Account profitability
• Market share growth by accounts
• New product launches achieving business case

Required skills & competencies:

• Winning sales skills: insight, strategic planning, category development, customer business planning, selling and negotiation, relationship management, executional excellence, commercial excellence
• 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in FMCG
• Minimum 3+ year in retail customer management and negotiations
• strong results orientation and high execution ability
• understanding of the systems, processes, procedures utilized by large organizations like GSK
• enterprise mindset, strategic thinking
• excellent negotiation and communication skills
• excellent ability to analyse, interpret data and prepare business solutions
• advanced level of understanding consumer, shopper, expert insights in FMCG industries
• solid financial acumen
• Fluent in English
