About your job
- Act as the Technical Packaging support to the manufacturing site for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging operations, work across the site to identify, resolve and improve all packaging material issues affecting production and the supply chain through to our customer.
- Management of all packaging specifications and drawings at site, data gathering on packaging performance, analysis of issues, recommending improvements and managing their delivery.
- Project Management of packaging projects:
Input into new package design by acting as the ‘voice of packaging’ for the site.
Management of packaging trials, validation, documentation, etc.
Lead new packaging development initiatives into the site to world class standards and in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and site policies.
o Support packaging changes through Value Engineering (VE) projects that create cost savings for the site.
o Work with regional and global teams to drive packaging improvements at suppliers in cooperation with Site Procurement lead.
- Provide technical support to AW coordinators during artwork creation process
- Support site Technical/project review meetings as required.
About you
- University degree preferred
- Specialisation – in printing, graphic design, packaging or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical discipline covering range of Packaging formats and Project Management expected
- Working knowledge of Packaging equipment / Packaging components
- Working knowledge on SAP platforms like M-ERP or CERPS preferred
- Technical Packaging transfer experience preferred
- English – advanced
- PC skills – advanced user
- Project management skills
- Priority setting skills
- Problem solving and issue resolution skills
