Site Quality Director

The purpose of this job is to ensure that products produced by the site meet the required quality standard and the relevant marketing authorization, the Quality Management System (QMS) of the plant is in accordance with the current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), relevant Regulatory Agencies requirements, and the Company policies.
The candidate will lead the site Quality Team, will be a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and a member of the European Quality Leader Team (EUQLT).

In this role you will:
  • Ensure the QMS of is in accordance with the cGMP and the company's policies
  • Ensure that processes, systems, and training needed for the QMS are established, maintained and effective throughout the site
  • Establish, monitor and improve key performance indicators in collaboration with the SLT and escalate risks to Quality & Compliance and Product Quality
  • Chair the Site Quality Council and ensure that, in collaboration with the SLT, corrective actions are established and carried out on time.
  • Drive a Quality and Continuous Improvement Culture throughout the site and promote the awareness of regulatory and customer requirements
  • Lead the Quality Team to ensure compliance with Company/ Regulatory bodies’ cGMP and compliance with all marketing authorization.
  • Ensure the Quality Team’s safety, wellbeing, and growth. Develop robust succession.
  • Lead QC Group to ensure that all raw materials, finished product and stability are tested against and meet required specifications and that all new processes introduced to the site are controlled by appropriate analytical methods and specifications.
  • Take leadership role in the identification, management, and communication of site quality & compliance issues. When appropriate, notifies health authorities or market authorization holder of such issues when impacting product that has already been placed on the market.
  • Responsible for establishing and controlling the site Quality budget and that the site capital expenditure maintains the compliance of the facility, systems, and equipment.
  • Accountable for the effective management of all internal Quality audits performed and external audits by regulatory agencies and customers. Ensure adequate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) development for all observations arising from any audits and monitor progress against these actions through the Quality Council.
  • Liaise with relevant Regulatory Bodies and industry associations to participate in future policies and bring relevant benchmark for the site

About you

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Degree in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • More than 10 years of Consumer Healthcare experience, with minimum 5 years of proven experience in similar Quality leadership role
  • Working knowledge of cGMP requirements and ability to apply appropriate risk-based approach and good business judgment
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills to ensure implementation of appropriate standards, specifications & agreement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communications skills to ensure effective relay of issues, risks, and opportunities so that these are well understood by all parties and that effective actions are put in place.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, and experience managing and motivating professional staff
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business strategies and translate these into workable business processes
  • Preferably member of appropriate professional body
  • Fluent in English and Slovak
