About your job

Job purpose:


Operations:
  • Responsible for the day to day operational management and execution of Europe Logistics Operations, notably Transport Management, Warehouse Management and Shipment Operations, to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery of product to our customer.
  • Work in close relationship with Haleon supply planning to support and deliver our products on time.

Compliance:
  • Responsible to ensure that HALEON meets the highest level of global compliance for cross border trade within the supply chain activities of all Business Units (e.g. ES, GMS, Commercial and CH).

  • Implementation of Regulation Changes within the Region, by collaborating with, Europe Logistics Operations logistics compliance, internal functions such as Global Tax and Regulatory, and researching through external agencies.

  • Responsible to ensure that processes meet the HALEON, GxP, Safety, Quality and Finance compliance requirements.

  • Liaise with the wider HALEON business to ensure that the expected standards are delivered. This role has joint accountability for the setting and realization of the targets.

  • Work with Regional peers to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of programs through the use of leveraging both internal and external resources.

Continuous Improvements and projects:
  • Support the Continuous Improvement team in delivering Europe Logistics Operations committed improvement targets, specifically by bringing a knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing and logistics processes and guiding and influencing changes.

  • Support the Europe Logistics Operations and/or enterprise wide identified projects/programs (for example ERP)




Key responsibilities:


Operations
  • Provide operational leadership to the logistics service providers (KN Control Tower and others when applicable) to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Ensure appropriate communication to sites, supply planners and customers in case of events impacting the distribution chain
  • Managing the operational interface between the KN Control Tower and the HALEON business (sites, markets, functions), creating effective relationships to enable the KN Control Tower to operate successfully
  • Responsible for the escalated issue resolution process where not resolvable by the KN Control Tower, providing consistent interface with markets and sites in an operational context
  • Drive ongoing improvement of operational performance for all Europe Logistics Operations applicable to regions
  • Ensure appropriate communication to sites, supply planners and customers in case of events impacting the distribution chain
  • Input/support into Crisis Management, if required
  • Responsible for ensuring the Europe Logistics Operations adhere to HALEON Quality Management system, GxP and financial requirements as defined in Global Logistics Policies and Procedures
  • Collaborate with Operation managers across other areas and/or regions to share and drive operational best practice
  • Drive short term (0-3 months) service improvement initiatives, and support, where needed, mid to long term Continuous Improvement (CI) or strategy deployment.
  • Ensure that KN Control Tower master data are setup to manage the transport movements

Compliance
  • Manage day to day operational Compliance issues associated with Europe Logistics Operations scope.
  • Responsible to ensure that all types of movements (physically and documentation) are in compliance with the national/international regulations (GxP, IATA, CMR, Known Consignor, etc…) including Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Provide all data elements and operational support as required in region to Customs broker and maintain master data base to facilitate border clearance

Continuous improvements / Lead or support project delivery:
  • Support the Continuous Improvement team in delivering the Europe Logistics Operations committed improvement targets, specifically by bringing a knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing and logistics processes and guiding and influencing changes


Performance management:
  • Accountable for swift resolution of Deviations / Claims by Collaborating with Site(s), Quality, LSP’s and/or Insurers for the Operations & drive a timely investigation within the LSP’s / Suppliers / HALEON network
  • As required, lead the Continuous Improvement initiatives

About you

Preferred Level of Education: Specialist / Professional qualifications in these areas:
  • Export Controls and Sanctions
  • Logistics, production, planning, project, customer service or finance


Language: English – fluent in written and verbal communication
Additional languages are preferred.


Job-Related Experience/Skills:
  • 3-5 years demonstrated in depth operational experience in international logistics operations
  • Knowledge of external logistics environment
  • Extensive knowledge in multi-modals distribution and cross-border regulations
  • Experience in performance management of 3rd party contracts
  • Change management skills and ability to construct business proposals
  • Customer facing / Stakeholder management
  • Strong leadership backed up by considerable influencing abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to drive improvements and performance focusing on customer service levels and cost reduction
  • Ability to work with minimum of directions and according to strategic directions
  • Resilient / Ability to work under pressure

Other Job-Related Skills/Background:
  • License Management
  • Audit/Self Assessment experience a plus
  • Temperature or Cold Chain management
