We are looking for an experienced Building Performance Engineer who will strengthen our digitalization engineering center in Bratislava for our European customers.
Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) is shaping the market for intelligent, adaptive infrastructure for today and the future. It addresses the pressing challenges of urbanization and climate change by connecting energy systems, buildings, and industries.
Our goal is to deliver and support highly responsive, scalable, and secure solutions using state-of-the-art technologies. The main focus is on Energy Management, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and smart building solutions for large buildings.
Depending on project demand, the role may focus more strongly on energy-related topics or broader building performance optimization.
Tasks and competences:
- Identify building performance optimization opportunities and trigger engineering and maintenance actions
- Create event monitoring, basic rules, and queries for customer systems and define action plans
- Run building performance health check reports, document results, and prepare improvement proposals
- Collect performance data, analyze and verify results, and produce routine reports
- Identify improvement opportunities, support their implementation, and report progress
- Engage with internal stakeholders and support customer communication where needed
- Own specific services – maintain processes, documentation, and organize work within a sub-team
- Support training activities for the local team
Mandatory skills:
- 2+ years of experience in building technology (e.g. HVAC, Energy Management, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve technical problems independently
- Preventive maintenance mindset and structured approach
- Basic understanding of analytical and data evaluation capabilities
- Proactive attitude and willingness to develop further
- Technical overview of IT systems and BMS systems
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with remote guidance and technical support
- Knowledge of building data analytics
