Popis pracovnej pozicie a zodpovednosti
As a Power BI specialist, you are part of the Center of Excellence for Business Intelligence Front-End Tools and AI at Siemens Healthineers IT. The CoE’s prime goal is to support the organization globally in all areas of tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, Celonis and AI/Machine Learning topics by providing training, guidance, consulting, development, and application management to drive data analytics and digitalization.
In your role as specialist, you are responsible for the communication to and value creation for the business. You will play a crucial part in enhancing our company-wide service to tackle the most complicated Power BI use cases with state-of-the-art technology.
We are seeking a seasoned Power BI professional with experience in both development and administration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing enterprise-level solutions and managing Power BI or similar SaaS applications in an international enterprise.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Identify underperforming workspaces, reports, and datasets using the Fabric Capacity Metrics App and inform owners through automated workflows about those issues or any other potential risks.
- Initiate contact with owners to schedule consulting sessions aimed at enhancing their solutions.
- Develop knowledge base articles based on findings and distribute them to our Power BI community of approximately 3,000 developers.
- Participate in discussions on Power BI tenant governance to optimize business value and enhance the efficiency of our entire Power BI Premium Capacity setup.
- Identify areas for improvement in the Power BI platform management and governance.
- Develop automated solutions, preferably on Azure, for continuous environment monitoring and data generation via APIs for informed decision-making.
Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a master's degree in computer science, medical information technology, mathematics, business information technology, or similar.
- You have several years of proficiency in Power BI development and tenant administration.
- You have several years of experience in debugging underperforming Power BI semantic models and reports.
- You have a good understanding in managing SaaS applications, with a focus on both technical and process aspects.
- You are proficient in writing scripts and apps to communicate with application APIs on Azure for fully automated operations while efficiently utilizing Azure resources.
- You are familiar with enterprise-level databases (e.g., Snowflake, MS SQL, Oracle) and in writing refined queries.

- You have a strong analytical mindset for solving problems as well as good people skills and the ability to motivate colleagues in implementing solutions.
- Your business-fluent English enables you to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in an international environment.
Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2800 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
