Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our medical electronics team is involved in development of embedded control software used for various medical devices (e.g. angiography systems).

We are seeking an embedded software engineer who will be part of our international software development team in healthcare domain. If you're eager to apply your skills to cutting-edge medical product development, we have an exciting opportunity for you! 

Your role will be:

• You will analyze system requirements and work with SW architects to develop software architectures and designs of embedded software
• You develop control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink, use automatic code generation, algorithm verification and validation through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop
• You perform performance optimization of generated code for embedded targets
• You develop and extend SW platforms to improve synergy between projects and increase productivity 
• You execute the complete software development process
• Implementation, validation and verification of SW units are other parts of your task
• You plan and execute software quality measures

 What do we expect

• You have a successfully completed university degree (Master) in computer science, data technology, information technology, electrical engineering or communications engineering and have several years of relevant professional experience in the development of complex embedded systems
• You have profound knowledge of embedded software as well as complex control systems and are experienced with the programming languages C and C++ (C++11/14/17)
• Beneficial is a good knowledge of MathWorks MATLAB/Simulink, corresponding modules and the underlying (motor) control theory  
• Practical understanding of control theory and drive technology is highly beneficial
• Experience using C++/C on microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M3/4 and/or DSPs)
• Experience with relevant communication interfaces (e.g. CAN, CANOpen, PROFINET, USB)
• Good understanding of HW interfaces: CAN, SPI, Ethernet, USB, I²C, UART, LVDS, LCD, PWM, etc., ability to measure HW signals with oscilloscope and debug with JTAG.
• Ideally you have knowledge/experience in agile SW development (SCRUM, SAFe) and software modeling with UML 2.0
• Your profile is rounded off by initiative, creativity, analytical skills, focus on quality, willingness and ability to learn with improvement mindset

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2 400 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
