As Software Architect, you will participate in the entire end-to-end product development (idea generation, product definition, prototyping, design, implementation, acceptance testing, optimization, customer support, fault reports handling, etc.), with the clear focus on the product architecture, all with the great people that are forming outstanding team.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Driving technical decisions based on a clear focus on meeting business needs and meeting all relevant requirements: clinical and service, functional and non-functional
• Participation on the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Collaboration with other architects and developers over the entire product development lifecycle to enable, support, and enforce all architectural aspects
• Work with documentation platforms to create, collaborate on, and manage medical device product documents (i.e. design, UML diagrams, etc.)
• Prototyping and concept preparation
• Ensuring the high quality by applying various measures
• Evaluation of changes in technologies used in our product and continuous innovation of software architecture
• Experience in communicating with various types of stakeholders and managing their competing priorities
• Team members coaching and mentoring of the craft of software development

What do we expect:

Education:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience

Language skills:

• English – advanced
• German – has its additional value but it’s optional

Experiences:

• 8+ years in software development
• 2+ years as architect, technical lead, or senior developer overseeing the technical direction of other software engineers

Professional skills:

• Knowledge of (MUST HAVE)

• object-oriented programming
• C#
• Visual Studio 2022
• Azure DevOps
• UML (Enterprise Architect)
• cloud services / experience with development of cloud-based application (container technologies), preferably on Azure
• information security (competent level)

• IP networks and protocols (LAN, IP, TCP/UDP, ...)
• Knowledge of (NICE TO HAVE)

• Typescript, Angular
• ASP.NET Web API

• Solid knowledge of principles of Software Craftsmanship (Design Patterns, Clean Code, SOLID, TDD)
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, inc. modern software development methodologies such as DevOps
• Good understanding of and extensive experience in applying of Agile and Lean methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe

The job will require occasional traveling to Germany.
