Linux Embedded Device Specialist - Point of Care

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our Point of Care Development team in Slovakia is looking for a software engineer who has hands-on experience in working with embedded devices running LINUX OS.

As our Linux Embedded Specialist you will:

• work with our suppliers and software teams to define minimum viable OS kernel
• program diverse less common peripheral devices like special cameras, low power electromotors and magnetic sensors
• be our First Point of Contact (externally as well as internally) for questions pertaining drivers, secure boot sequences and generally all challenges between hardware LINUX OS and application

What are we expecting:

• knowledge of C, C++ and scripting languages is required
• knowledge of embedded devices ideally ARM architecture based computers running LINUX
• ability to build a LINUX OS from repositories should be demonstrated
• we are looking for a good communicator as in this position discussions with diverse stakeholders around the globe is necessary

• We are considering engineers with different seniority from fresh graduates to experienced developers with optimally 3-7 years experience.
• Own projects running for example on RASPBERRY PI and shared on GITHUB is a big plus

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2100 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
