Job description, responsibilities and duties

The IT Application Manager is accountable and responsible for handling the application which are involved in the “Application Lifecycle Management” within Siemens Healthineers IT regardless of where the technology components or professional capabilities reside.

Application Manager is primary stakeholder in all IT processes which enable or support it. Application Manager is responsible to ensure that the application is managed with a business focus throughout the entire service lifecycle. Application Manager are instrumental in the development of Application service strategy and are responsible for the content of the Application service portfolio.

Responsibilities:
• End-to-end owner of one or more IT services working closely with both the business and the internal IT service teams. The Application Manager is responsible for ensuring the services provided meet client requirements and operate sufficiently
• Responsibility for day to day service operations, source and deliver components of standard IT services
• Up-to-date knowledge of IT Quality system requirements and implementation of these requirements in Quality relevant project documentation
• Act as counterpart for all incoming audits and understand quality and security relevant aspects for the successful assessment
• Ensure a formal set of processes are applied by which the organization can identify various security concerns, gaps and remedial actions to ensure the security of the operations
• Ensure compliance of all IT services with the legal framework
• Maintain policies, standards and procedures to ensure demonstrable quality control
• Evaluate service-specific new requirements and its impact on the existing processes/landscape, design and execute necessary changes
• Consults and supports the implementation of new or changed services for increased business productivity, including the discussion, analysis and acceptance of demand and supporting the planning for the development and implementation of service changes

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• BS/MS in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science or related fields
• Comprehensive experience in analysis of business processes and work experience in IT consulting
• Experience in management of IT-projects and Service Management
• Intercultural Experience, Customer Orientation and willingness to travel to customers at Siemens Healthineers sites
• Knowledge of IT concepts, MS Windows based environments, architectures and technical standards
• Experience with tiered-application architectures and client-server applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to act independently
• Self-starter who drives pro-actively activities which are in own area of responsibility

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Basis knowledge of ITIL model
• Experience with software development methodologies
• Basic knowledge on data base architecture
• Experience in regulated Healthcare environment
