Job description, responsibilities and duties

At Siemens Healthineers, our mission is to increase physicians' efficiency, improve the patient experience, and simplify access to healthcare.

We are currently setting up entirely new scrum teams in the area of Point of Care Diagnostics. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new team and provide immediate, convenient, and easy-to-use diagnostic testing. Our data management system assures vendor-neutral connectivity and supports >190 device interfaces.

To maintain further growth, the team that you will be part of, will be responsible for developing the ‘Next generation’ instance of the current system, and later maintaining and further developing its functionality. For this purpose, we are opening a new position for a junior software engineer who can apply their programming skills, especially in C# and Angular.

You will work with:
• Software connecting devices from different vendors
• Primarily with C#, Angular, but also SQL and ASP .NET
• Unit and Integration tests to automate the release environment
• Agile/Scrum
• Global Point of Care Diagnostics team

We expect:
• First experience in software engineering in C#, HTML5 and Angular
• Understanding and ideally experience in using and applying OOD, OOP, and ideally design patterns
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and engineering practices such as TDD/BDD, CI/CD, code review, etc.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Windows virtual machine, .NET Core Framework
• At least user-level working knowledge of LINUX
• Practical experience with agile software development practices
• Coaching and mentoring of junior teammates
• Communication skills in English
• Teamwork, virtual work together, continuous improvement mindset

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards : starting from 1600EUR brutto /month + VAR*
