Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Operational Planning and Controlling Lead will be heading the SAP Service Delivery & Planning team. She/he is responsible for financial controlling, budgeting, demand & capacity planning, as well as organizational planning for the global SAP Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, the person will be ensuring the continuity of the financial processes and reporting.The Operational Planning and Controlling Lead will be working closely with the global SAP COE team and the accounting departments in different countries.
Task and Responsibilities
• Ensuring the Month End Closing, Quarterly Checks and Year End Closing activities have been executed
• Preparation and managing of yearly SAP budget rounds with SAP COE teams and accounting departments
• continuous forecast and controlling of the SAP COE financials
• Ensure monthly overview of SAP financial actuals and forecast
• Prepare and ensure budget transfer topics with owners and provide analysis for clarifications with accounting department
• Regular reporting to SAP Management
• Managing and data entry of productivity measures in the respective tools
• Regular financial management and clarification requests from SAP and other teams
• Organizational planning based on decisions & directions provided from SAP COE management
• Operations Planning – managing Requests for Changes
• Demand & capacity planning for SAP COE organization
Education:
• University degree in economics, political science or similar
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of proven records in leadership role.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in organizational planning, demand & capacity planning
• Minimum 3-5 years User experience with ERP / Financial systems (SAP)
Technical Skills:
• Must demonstrate advanced level knowledge of financial processes, demand & capacity planning and reporting
• Must be experienced in the use of SAP ERP financial systems
• Must be proficient with usage of reporting tools Business Intelligence, QlikView or QlikSense, Office suite (Excel / PowerPoint / Word)
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager Change Management constitutes a plus
