Job description, responsibilities and duties
We participate in development of high-end, highly integrated medical imaging software products (www.siemens-healthineers.com/syngo.via), using agile methods of software development (SCRUM) and state of the art software engineering practices (e.g. DevOps).The primary responsibility of a Test Architect (TA) is to provide strategic direction, governance and technical leadership to several SCRUM teams regarding all test related aspects. The TA is the foremost technical authority for test-related aspects and is responsible for the overall product quality for both functional and non-functional aspects. The scope, impact and influence of the TA shall cover the entire product development organization.
Responsibilities:
- defining and implementing an effective and efficient test strategy for the project, aligned with the business and quality goals
- participating in the evaluation and definition of test tools and methods and their introduction in the test organization with the goal to continuously improve product quality, reduce testing costs and reduce time to market
- involvement in early development phases to discuss test aspects and to define testability requirements into software design
- measuring, control
