Job description, responsibilities and duties

As an IT Application Support Manager you will play a supporting role in the management of applications and will be providing necessary support activities to a number of Application Managers in areas such as logistics, document management, supplier management and others, used by Siemens Healthcare Business Units worldwide. Your tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• IT Service Management
  • Monitor the Incident Management lifecycle of the IT applications according to SLAs (if the situation/application manager calls for it)
  • Monitor the change management lifecycle and escalate lingering issues to external partners (if the situation/application manager calls for it)
  • Act as the first point of contact for the IT Application Manager, the external partner(s) and the involved Subject Matter Experts when it comes to Incident/Change request creation in various tools
  • Provide regular updates to IT Application Managers on various topics if requested

• Quality/Compliance Document Management
  • Support the IT Application Manager with testing activities, as well as creation and maintenance of the necessary documentation
  • Maintain up to date documentation according to latest templates and directives
  • Provide analysis documentation to external partner(s) if requested

Required education, skills and personality requirements

Required education
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Educational Specialization
Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields - Bachelor or advanced degree preferred

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in IT administration support role
- Passion for document management and IT service management
- Strong focus on quality

- Structured, proactive, and self-directed work style
- Fluent in English

Nice to have
  • Knowledge of ITSM methodology
  • Experience with IT business processes and administrative support
  • Experience with creation of IT quality documentation
  • Fluent in German
  • Basic technical understanding of Web Application Architecture, Network infrastructure and SQL Server database
