Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Project duration is 3 months, then possibly transfer to another project.

Responsible for all customer quality returns and results in quality: 0km claim, warranty and customer audit results.
Responsible for respect of standards IATF 16949 and internal standards and customer requirements.
Responsible for quality performance, problem solving and improvements related to customer.
Responsible to reply on customer claims in customer portals and Quarta database within target of response time.
Assure reaching customer targets.
Is responsible for quality results: claims, external rejects, sorting and rework activities, customer audits support and customer satisfaction.
This responsibility means: performing, monitoring, launching and driving corrective actions regarding customer claims.

His / her main daily duty is:
- to manage customer in term of claims, 8D reports, special internal tool for problem solving and customer audits support,
- to ensure the right prioritization and timing respect of reply to the customer in term of claims, reports and audits,
- to manage correct flow of return parts and communication through all involved departments in customer portals and Quarta database,
- to manage the communication with Marelli residents or central Quality department.

Quality control (customer quality) and continuous improvement
Is directly responsible for all quality issues related to his / her customer, projects. Ensures the right focus, the right method of tool application on daily priorities.

Improve the quality level of the products:
- to analyse the customer claims, containment, sorting, reworks activities and customer requirements,
- to launch improvement programs and activities,
- to supervise the non-conformities and the appropriate reports to solve problems.
Continuous improvement of products through implementation of tools: especially Kaizens, 5Why, FTA, F3A and Lesson learned.

Development of products
Through the process quality engineer, participate to product and process definition, to the early production and ramp up phase; support the process for the start of production, with the approach of ideal conditions for 0 defects.
Especially support the assurance of the creation of the control plan, assist in the P-FMEA, participate of PPAP documents preparation, participate to the training program and prepare the customer audits.
Ensure the right level of information, results in term of R&D analysis needed.

Lead the realization of customer audits and driving improvements.

Reporting and budget
Prepare reports, fill in customer portals and Quarta database, analyse data, makes recommendations and carry projects for improving plant quality results.
Track, analyse and improves key performance indicators such as external PPM, sorting and rework, audit results and action plan realisation, etc.
Regular and timely reporting of key KPI’s and performance

Check and ensure the respect of the customer requirements.
Understanding and promoting customer specific requirements.
Actively participate to the improvement of the standards.

Authorization to stop the production in case of non-conformities related to the process and product.
Authorization to start containment action in case of non-conformities related to the process and product.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Knowledge of Product and Process
Statistic Control Process SPC
Quality core tools (FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP).
Knowledge of IATF, ISO 14001, OHSAS and Quality tools
Certified Process Auditor
Experience in automotive industry, technical backround
Understand importance of Product and Process Quality
Respect and interest in high standards of automotive industry.
Support continuous improvement of Quality and Organization.
Structured-minded and discipline oriented.
Leader, experience in leading of people.
University degree in engineering or technical field.
English advanced level (fluent written and spoken), other languages advantage (Italian, French, German)
Knowledge of Quality Management System.
Health, Environment and Safety.
MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
