- Is responsible for the Q, C, T of suppliers. Quality /Cost /Timing
- Is in charge to manage closed purchase order for his project
- Is responsible for the non event launch related to supplier.
- Provide and lead technical support to the project teams and to
- Update Tooling and Injection standards at PO division level
- Support Injection & Tooling development Engineer during
- Is the main technical contact to toolmaker from M2 to M4, and
- Responsible for parts feasibility vs tool design
- Responsible for tool & Injection design to achieve projects
- Responsible for EOAT specification
Advance phase:
- Defines cycle time and scrap rate + Injection molding machine clamp force
- Validates mould technical specifications with product line and tool purchasing support
- Defines the technical parameters in order to define an accurate Injection means cost
- Support PLE in advanced part design related to tool means/cost/feasibility -> target RFQ
Project support:
- Leads the tool design stage and ensures a good communication with the toolmaker in order to ensure a simultaneous tool and product engineering
- Validate the tool design (sizing, kinematics, cooling, injection technology...) and ensure it guarantees the Plastic Omnium industrial requirements
- Validate the complete Injection system including Moldflow analysis and gate design
- Define and validate the shrinkage applied in the tool and the cycle time
- Propose technical solutions in order to ensure the continuous improvement in projects in terms of Cost, Lead time & Quality Homologation of critical components in the tools to minimize specificities (spare parts management )
- Close cooperation with introduction of new technologies in the tools (IMPC / driven valve gate, .)
- Ensures action plan follow-up on issues raised during project design review and QUAD meetings
- Uses on a daily basis the standard working documents related to the department (Tool standard / Tool and Injection expertise folder / Shrinkage database…)
- Gives a technical support to the prototype department (shrinkage definition, Injection system, take part to the trials…)
- Supports the Tooling and Injection Development Engineer in order to ensure a tool transfer and start of production in the plant in the best conditions.
Plant support (development and serial life):
- Assists plant to improve quality of the parts, scrap rate, cycle time…
- Assists plant for new technologies or new product line
Continuous improvement:
- Leads or participate to problem solving workshop and develop right first time methods
- Takes part to development and improvement of the technical specifications of the Injection system, tool design & standard
- Ensures the lessons learned related to his perimeter (real shrinkage values, cycle times, injection process analysis either on development products or serial production products)
- Takes care to be aware of the new technologies in injection & moulding field developed on the market (tool makers, components suppliers…)
- Takes part to the Injection Molding meetings (worldwide)
- Is involved in the injection tool chart development
- Can lead or be part of a task force in order to solve recurrent issues on injection & tooling that may involve several Métiers
- Supports the supplier quality department for the toolmakers assessments and ensure that the toolmaker strategy (cost, lead-time, quality) fits strategy
- Participates to the R&I development project
Training:
- Can be part of or responsible for a training module design
- Can be a trainer on some technical training modules related to injection and tool design
