Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Create HV architectural concepts or designs based on requirements
Asses performance and functionality of HV electrical components based on requirements
Quantify the performance of different architecture choices and optimize architecture choices according to the cost function
Knowledge of CAD software (preferably Catia or Solidworks)
Experience in any one (or more) of the following production processes: welding and other joining technologies
Have an eye for durability and reliability
Define failure modes / FMEA / FTA
Identify multidisciplinary design tradeoffs
Coaching junior engineers to transcend to senior engineers

Battery pack systems and subsystems research and development
Supplier engagement
Mechanical joining technology research for electrical components
Technical drawings and production documentation
Design, develop and release component and system specifications
Supervising the testing of finished products and systems

Experience with HV Safety in the automotive industry
Knowledge in designing for high voltage systems (automotive,

Experience in e-mobility industry or similar roles.
Understanding of quality assurance process, tools, and methodologies.
Understanding of electronics & automotive regulations and standards related to the field.
Experience with developing a standalone system (mechanical fixture).
Experience in testing and working with lithium-ion batteries.
Experience with operating battery testers and thermal chambers.
Knowledge of battery performance testing standards (IEC 62660, etc.).
Knowledge of MATLAB or Python.
Experience in 3DX software, CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia).
Experience with Industry 4.0.
Knowledge of standard automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, XCP etc.).
Extensive experience in the engineering development
Good knowledge of production technology
Good knowledge of the battery cell management
Knowledge in cooling system design and management
Understanding of electro-mechanical components
