Job description, responsibilities and duties

General Assembly Process Engineering/Architecture and Assembly Equipment Engineering for a famous car manufacturer : plants in 9 countries in Europe for new vehicle projects and serial life

Mission of equipment engineer: guarantee customer's standards application for equipment commissioning
• Specification to order
• Studies
• Supplier release/first acceptance
• On-site assembly
• Maintenance acceptance
• Function acceptance
• Final acceptance

Main responsibilities:
• Agree/negociate with the customer which Working Unit has to be used for each Project & Equipment during the Project Initialisation (according to 5 parameters: “equipment” complexity, country, modification/new/reuse, unit/series, project phase)
• Manage the administrative process (Purchase Order & invoices) & economical reporting
• Prepare & present the Monthly Service Centre Steering Committee
• Define and put in place the Performance Management System to be applied by the Team
• Promote positive mindset, communication and teamwork between Project Engineers, Engineering Office Managers and customer
• Project macroplanning follow-up
• Escalate Hard Points to the top management or customer as appropriate
• Moderate the Service Centre Meetings
• Recruit, train and coach Project Engineers
• Conduct Layered Process Audit to detect and resolve staffing and training issues
• Support Project Engineers in difficulty
• Capitalize lessons learned
• Risk Management and problem solving
