An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior buyer / procurement specialist in the industrial field!

Successful candidate will develop and drive a project procurement strategy to support hub business growth, profitability, and cash flow improvement, while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships, ensuring, and maintaining a customer-driven ethos and continuously improving our total cost of acquisition performance.

Your essential responsibilities will be:

* Develop and drive project procurement strategy to support hub business growth, profitability, and cash flow improvement through continuous productivity improvement initiatives.
* Involvement in Procurement activities associated with the effective purchasing of Project requirements by the Procurement Department in accordance with Project or end-user schedules, specifications, and budgets.
* Local responsibility for Slovakia and Czech
* Develop and responsible in conjunction with project managers/coordinators for the project procurement plan and execution strategy for individual projects.
* Identify and qualify key 3rd party suppliers and sub-contractors for framework agreements to provide competitive pricing and services to support the Pre-bid winning rates and during project execution to improve project gross margin
* Drive indirect procurement process of purchasing services or supplies that keep a business running, but are not directly linked to revenue generation.  The activities include at least the planning, processing and administrating all purchasing activities in order to guarantee business continuity.
* Assisting in performing day-to-day building management issues and space and facilities projects, as liaison with the  property and procurement administrator, and act as coordinator with  premise suppliers, maintenance providers for building and warehouse.

Personality requirements and skills

* Degree in engineering and related experience in engineering procurement & C
construction, or Oil & Gas industries is preferable.
* Experience with Subcontract services & outsourcing
* Strong Knowledge of project procurement practices and cost structures; experience in direct or non-direct procurement, (not purchasing and supply chain)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to details are required.
* Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management
* Strong knowledge of procurement practices, regulations, and policies.
* Experience in international sourcing and development of global supplier relationships.
* Ability to work in a fast-moving environment, demonstrate confident decision-making capability, and achieve credibility with colleagues at all levels.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to make decisions and manage time effectively.
* Sound understanding of other business functions, particularly project management, tendering, and finance.
Experience in using integrated ERP systems (SAP) including procurement tools such as SRM.
* Fluent English to business standard is essential.
* Project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to demonstrate a track record of achievements to date
