OBJECTIVES:

What you will do:

Technical Responsibilities:
 

• Assumes technical responsibility for all ED studies in the defined perimeter, performs design studies and detailed calculations
• Ensures quality (content, timing, costs) of the calculation/study deliverables
• Writes study reports and design notes, and forward them to the Design Leader (DL), Technical Leader (TL), Project Manager (PM)
• Participates in design meetings if required, participates actively in the capitalization and sharing of experience
• Maintains technical theoretical and applied skills in the ED and Power Systems domain
• Contributes to technical innovation and productivity (ex: develops simple tools for various calculations in the defined perimeter)

Commercial responsibilities:
 

• In coordination with the TL and PM, participates in meetings with customers to clarify their needs; identifies technical limits; obtains approvals and negotiate variation orders
• Able to create quotation tools for calculations/studies
• Tracks costs and improves profitability of the calculations/studies, considering the cost of both software & engineering

Responsibilities in terms of Quality:
 

• Is responsible for the quality of his/her studies and for the associated documentation
• Implements the Quality policy and improves the level of customer satisfaction
• Respects the rules and methods of quality procedures - Implement international ISO 9001, ISO 18000 HSE and ISO 14000 quality and environmental Standards
• Respect and follow HSE Standards and rules

Responsibility in terms of Security/Safety:
 

• Ensures the safety of the project data (confidentiality)
• Continuously monitors the security of information processed, stored, sent out
• Acts with discretion, and does not communicate information to those who do not need it

Experience and skills we are looking for:

Qualification and experience:
 

• University degree in Electrical engineering (Bachelor as minimum, preferably Master) with a strong experience in the electrical distribution field and in the customer project business
• Electrical Engineer with more than 5 years’ experience in a consultancy firm (or similar background), strong technical skills and curiosity are required
• Intermediate or advanced level using ETAP software with a minimum 3 years of experience working on main ETAP Modules is mandatory
• Intermediate or advanced level using other power systems software as Digsilent, MATLAB or others is an advantage
• English language (fluent) is mandatory (minimum B2 level)
• Other languages as French and/or Spanish are a plus

Core Competencies and skills required:

• Strong skills in Electrical Engineering Calculations, strong mathematical background (complex number operations)
• Strong skills in IEC & IEEE standards applicable within the ED field, knowledge of the methodology & acceptance criteria defined therein
• Masters at least one or more of commercial Power system software's available (ETAP mandatory, other software's are an advantage)
• Advanced knowledge of Protection system operation, latest ranges of protection relays, preferably Micom, Sepam, Easergy & Vamp ranges.
• Advanced knowledge of Power Cables engineering in MV & LV
• Advanced level skills in Word: advanced math formulas for trigonometric & complex numbers
• Advanced level skills in Excel: ability to create tools (ex: for protection settings for Differential & Distance protection schemes)
• Desirable: Knowledge of Power Quality standards & calculation methodology, Harmonic Mitigation techniques, Measurement activities & Computer simulations

Other requirements:

• Willingness to travel up to 30% in EMEAS Region
• Driving License B
• Potential to work on a long time base abroad mission 6 to 12 months (Optional)
