Job description, responsibilities and duties

Mission of this role is to manage various small-sized projects with more software, more services, and greater sustainability (Category C project), or work on a work package of a larger-sized project (Category B, A project) and report to the Senior Project Manager. He/She can manage projects in back-office mode, following applicable company policies and processes (with the main one being CPP: Customer Project Process). Additionally, he/she is responsible for managing the relationship with customer and third parties within the project scope and is accountable for the execution of the project in line with the contract. Furthermore, he/she contributes to the project managers' community of practice. Within a Hub, as part of a Project Management team, he/she reports to the head of execution of the center.

Key responsibilities / activities:

- Organize and manage the project with suppliers, monitoring progress in line with the project plan (scope, schedule, and budget) until completion. Ensure efficient communication.
- Protect Schneider Electric's interests within the framework of the contract until the end of contractual obligations.
- Monitor, control, and report project execution status, progress, and KPIs. Ensure full and effective reporting to management (reports, project reviews, risk escalation reviews, etc.). Alert the management about project events impacting project performance or compliance with governance principles and keep the leadership informed about the actions related to them.
- Perform regular risk and opportunity assessments and implement action plans to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
- Develop customer intimacy (including end-users if applicable), drive all communication with the customer. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of the project to prepare the ground for future business.
- Take full accountability and control over project profitability (sales, margin, and cash), including forecasting. Ensure timely revenue recognition as per forecast. Implement profitability improvement actions. Satisfy entity and country expectations on sales, margin, and cash collection.
- Ensure the project team and suppliers are executing the project in full compliance with Schneider Electric's processes, quality instructions, and governance principles. Take all necessary actions to correct any deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution.
- Participate in the PM Community of Practice within the Execution Center and globally within the Execution Center network. Identify, formalize, share, and promote lessons learned and best practices.
- Strongly monitor HSE policy for all team members and sub-contractors, especially for site activities and travels.
- Manage cybersecurity risks and actions linked to cybersecurity and suppliers/service providers/sub-contractors.

Place of Work:
• Slovakia our offices in Bratislava, Žilina and Košice or your home country within EU.

Personality requirements and skills

Education and language:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business
- PMP-A certificate
- Fluent English (min. C1) is a must
- Proficiency in other languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, other) would be valuable

Hard skills required:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a Category-D project.
- Experience working in a plant is a plus.
- Experience in engineering is a plus.
- Strong technical background.
- Proficient in CPP process.
- Proficient in ERP for financial control.

Soft skills required:
- Capable of managing multiple projects in parallel.
- Comfortable with new integrated digital tools to enhance work efficiency.
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in concise and synthetic manner on a complex technical strategy
