Job description, responsibilities and duties

Be part of Customer Projects Operations and experience 50 years in Project and Engineering. Our mission is to master and support grow of large, complex and international projects business for global accounts and targeted customers through the Global and Regional Application Centers, supporting in parallel project ambitions for Local Execution Centers in Europe in tendering and projects executions.
Our team, which is a part of Schneider Electric community in Slovakia, has currently 90-110 Employees.

With a permanent position working for Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) Bratislava, you will be a part of a customer project execution/application center, and project technical teams located spread among one or several sites/countries, requiring international collaboration with other functional teams/stakeholders.  You will:
‐ Participate in end‐to‐end process of an assigned industrial project from technical and time point of view
‐ Act as the leader of the technical content of the assigned workpackage(s), and functionally report to Technical Senior Engineer and Project Manager responsible for the whole technical scope
‐ Make sure customer technical requirements are fulfilled (in terms of performance, quality, costs and time), in compliance with the contract, and based on the Architecture & Technical specifications defined during the tendering phase
‐ Lead "Customer Project Senior Technicians" working in the assigned workpackages(s)
‐ Follow all technical aspects of customer integrated projects, such as: design, implementation, testing, FAT, IFAT, and provide advises for installation/commissioning on site

Place of work: sites and the following locations:
Slovakia: our offices in Bratislava, Žilina and Košice
Work from home
Other countries: work from home with occasional travel to Bratislava office.

In more details:

Design & Implementation: according to your field of knowledge (i.e. MV Technology, LV Technology, UPS, etc.):
‐ Perform and review design & specification activities, by leveraging Schneider Electric portfolio of products & systems in an optimized manner, in order to maximize profitability and limit technical risks of the project during Execution and Commissioning of the equipment
‐ Perform basic design studies, and detailed studies if required


Coordination with the Project Team:
‐ Lead & approve basic and detailed design of the assigned workpackage(s), in line with customer and contract requirements (technical performance)
‐ Coordinate all technical implementation activities done at factories or supplier premises and testing facilities until project closure, related to the assigned workpackage(s)
‐ Actively participate in FAT preparation and participate if needed
‐ Identify clearly the input/output/interface of the assigned workpackage(s) with the rest of the project technical scope
‐ Make sure the assigned workpackage is delivered according to the project planning & budget ‐Provide progress reports and technical deliverables to Technical Senior Engineer or Project Manager

Risk & Opportunity management, Change management, Alert:
‐ Identify any potential changes versus contract or already‐agreed design, regarding the assigned workpackage(s)
‐ Work closely with Technical Senior Engineer to specify the changes and their impact for Schneider Electric (including cost impact evaluation)
‐ Alert Project Manager and Technical Senior Engineer of any substantial issue that could affect the project performance or customer satisfaction, related to the assigned workpackage(s)

Quality process, Methods, Tools:
‐ Support Technical Engineer or Technical Senior Engineer to ensure full compliance with Schneider‐Electric processes (especially CPP & TDP), and with quality instructions, safety requirements and governance principles
‐ Correct ‐ or lead Senior Technicians to correct ‐ any technical deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution, related to the assigned workpackage(s)
‐ Implement international ISO 9001, ISO 18000 HSE and ISO 14000 quality and environmental Standards
‐ Respect and follow SE Safety Standard during all Project Execution

Community of practices & Coaching:
‐ Maintain technical theoretical and applied knowledge; identify, get, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices related to the assigned workpackages
‐ Act as referent and/or coach Senior Technicians and junior Technical Engineers
‐ Stay tuned on the last technical evolutions of equipment & systems, including new launches (in her/his field of engineering, acting then as a referent in the Community)
‐ Participate actively in the capitalization and sharing of experience, contribute to engineering innovation and productivity

Personality requirements and skills

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- English language fluent mandatory (min B2 / C1 level)
- Other languages as French and/or Spanish and/or German and/or Russian are a plus
- 3 years of experience in relevant area
- 3 years working in one or several engineering application domains targeted by Schneider: Power systems studies, Automation & Software, Electrical Substation, Electrical transmission, Power transformer, Medium Voltage Application, Low Voltage Application, UPS, Motor Starters, Frequency convertors, Generators, Solar Application, Wind farms applications, datacenter.
- Experience in any competitor range of equipment (ABB, SIEMENS, etc.) is an advantage
- Technical Experience with Communication protocols (IEC61850 Standard, Modbus protocol, OPC protocol) is an advantage
- Technical experience in a specific market segment or in a customer application/process is a plus
- Confirmed experience or literacy with any of Schneider Equipment for MV (Premset, MCSET, PIX), Protection Relays (SEPAM, Micom, Easergy), UPS APC Symmetra, Motor Starter (Motorpact) and LV Distribution panels (Blokset, Okken, Prisma) is an advantage
- Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus,
- Team player, Goal Keeper
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal) in clear manner on technical issues/topics
- Ability to work and cooperate in international and inter‐cultural environment
- Software tools literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD

Willingness to travel up to 30% in - EMEAS Region
