Job description, responsibilities and duties

Technical Leader (TL) for Electrical Distribution (ED) manages end-to-end process of an assigned industrial project from technical and time point of view and leads all project technical team comprises Design Leaders for particular WP (Work Packages).

He should be able to technically lead a project proposal, execution and factory and on site testing. He manages international complex and middle-sized projects and works in international environment.


- Complex technical and schedule responsibility and duty during a Tender and Execution phase of an international industrial project
- Industrial projects of Electrical Distribution (ED)
- Permanent position in Regional Execution Platform (engineering center) in Bratislava with business trips in EMEAS region


Technical Responsibilities & Duties:

- During a project tender / proposal / offer preparation phase to provide a complex technical analysis of the customer technical (WBS Work Breakdown Structure) and schedule requirements
- Cooperate with Schneider Electric production plants on the proposal / offer preparation
- Generate a deviation list and assign a mitigation of open points
- Coordinate Design Leaders of particular Work Packages WP on the project, subcontractors and decide on a final technical solution in order to propose which is in line with customer requirements and summarize budgetary or firm offer
- During a project execution phase to provide a complex technical leadership of Basic and Detailed design engineering documentation, FAT testing reports and FAT participation, SAT testing reports and SAT on site participation and coordinate all Design Leaders (WP Work Package leaders)
- Coordinate all Schneider Electric production plants and business units on the industrial project and its engineering documentations and manuals
- Complex technical and schedule support to a PM Project Manager according a project charter
- Technical clarifications and meetings with customer counterparts and with Schneider Electric factories designers
- Technical overview of LV Low Voltage components and switchgears, MV Middle Voltage components and switchgears, DTR Distribution Transformers, UPS power supply, BTS Busducts Trunking Systems, Digital protections IED, LAN Communication buses, SCADA visualization systems, Cable sizing / calculation and routing, Power electric engineering studies (selectivity, protection plan, arc flash, grounding)
- Technical change management knowledge and ability to identify the project technical criticalities and risk

Commercial and financial responsibilities & Duties:

- Business accumen and basics from financial reports
- Ability to find an financial effective technical solution
- Coordinate technical solution with PM Project Manager and maximize project margin
- Knowledge how to track costs and improving profitability of the technical project solution

Responsibilities in terms of quality and safety/security:

- Implementation of international ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 18000 HSE and ISO14000 environmental standards
- Fully respect to Safety standards during all project execution
