Your responsibilities

  • Direct report of a team of Software Delivery Managers.
  • Responsible for the overall management of Software Deliveries of our customer projects.
  • Constant review of the SW delivery status and advice to the PMs if needed.
  • Reporting to top management and to customers for SW deliveries.
  • First escalation instance in the project and propose options / potential solutions to bring the projects back on track.
  • Setting and monitoring of achievement of main software delivery KPI’s”on time, on budget, on scope, on quality”.
  • Capacity management of the Software Delivery Manager group according to portfolio of customer projects.
  • Responsible for the further development of methods and tools to improve efficiency and transparency within SW delivery.
  • Monitoring of the top-down planning process based on rough break down of customer deliveries into phases and Product increments (PIs) up to detailed
planning on team level. Transition from phased based delivery to continuous delivery based on MVP and project milestones.
  • Proactively resolution of planning conflicts between customer projects among project teams and as part of PI planning driven by Project portfolio. Escalation of critical conflicts to Head of Project Management.
  • Coaching of Software Delivery Managers towards excellence in project planning and management of deliveries.

You are the ideal candidate for this role if you possess following personal qualities:
  • Proven record of successfully delivered complex IT projects in the role of Project Manager, Software Delivery Manager or Software Department Head.
  • Familiar with requirements engineering and design of complex large scale solutions.
  • Ability of liaising with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to embrace change and adapt method and tools.
  • Analytical and communication skills, creativity, critical thinking.
  • Strong team spirit and ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to make substantial decisions without supervision.
  • Self-motivated, responsible and self-directed.
  • A natural problem solver who can think outside the box.
