Job description, responsibilities and duties

Summary of Job Responsibilities
Direct, control and administer financial activities of the Company in CZ/SK, later extension of responsibilities to PL in perspective. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and obligations. Provide country management and Headquarters with financial assessments establishing proper control and prerequisites for profitability, effective use of resources and corporate goals reach.

Position Requirements
• Accounting qualification or university degree
• At least 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Experience in managing a small team and providing decision support to management
• Experience in cooperation and reporting in international businesses
• Fluency in Czech and Slovak, Polish is advantage, but not condition. Good command of business English (written and spoken).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Financial (CZ + SK), warehouse (SK) and tax (CZ + SK) accounting
• Compile various financial statements and monthly management reports per the company's internal and legislated reporting requirements including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports together with financial forecasts and annual financial statements.
• Compile and lodge the monthly business activity statements, annual income tax and fringe benefit tax returns and maintain the various records required.
• Assist in the annual audit of the accounts, answer the audit queries and provide feedback to the management in relation to the auditor's report.
• Oversee that the company's credit policy is followed and monies due from debtors are collected in time; check and authorise payments to be made to suppliers and SARSTEDT organizations.
• Provide management with appropriate information critical for informed decision making.
• Liaise with other senior management internationally as requested to ensure the company's financial/accounting plans and business needs are met.
• Ensure all finance and accounting activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
• Professionally represent the company at all times
• Undertake other duties as directed by the General Manager CZ/SK or the Executive Board of the SARSTEDT Group

Personality requirements and skills

• Good knowledge of CZ and SK accounting standards, taxation law and credit control systems; experience in Polish accounting and tax is of advantage
• Experience in reconciliation of intercompany transactions and the preparation of statutory accounts
• Significant group reporting experience gained in multinational organization
• Significant experience in local ERP-Systems (e.g. Macrologic ERP). Experience in SAP FI/Co and SAP SEM-BCS for group reporting purposes in accordance to German GAAP is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized mode of work with high attention to detail
