Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a candidate for position of System Administrator for our customer Jaguar Land Rover in Nitra region. This is a two-shift operation.
Detail responsibilities:
Detail responsibilities:
- Support and pro-active management of Servers, Operating Systems, backup systems.
- Provide support for DCH operatins and Data Centre locations.
- Trouble shooting of issues as well as coordination with support functions offshore.
- Coordination for vendor coordination for servers, storage ets. Follow and support ITIL Processes (incident, change, problem and known error Management).
- Day to day incident monitoring and resolution (Remedy preferred).
- Interaction with client (IT & Business users) on functional issues.
- Stakeholder management, share regular updates and assist in preparing operational reports.
- Triaging of issues and timely resolution with cross functional teams for timely resolution.
- Follow service management processes (e.g. Incident, Change, Capacity, Problem ets.).
- Coordinate with local teams for planned shutdowns/major upgrades etc.
- Maintaining agreed SLA levels and assuring Quality of delivery at all times.
- Provide appropriate setup, management, monitoring and configuration services.
- Coordinate communications between suppliers, OEM, and business stakeholders for their particular area.

Desird Certifications in following areas.
- Knowledge of updates and patches to hardware & operating systems.
- Working knowledge of VMware components, vCenter, creating and deploying virtual machines etc.
- Provide support for Server/compute provided by vendor such as DELL/HP, logging support cases with these vendors.
- Excellent understanding of VMware VSphere, Creation of Microsoft cluster platforms in windows 2008 and 2012. Working knowledge of conversed Compute infrastructure (HP CS700/VCE Vblock).
- Daily health monitoring of Servers, Enclosures / Racks, ESXi etc.
- Hands on working experience of DELL/HP hardware such as DL series, Blades, Chassis and HP converged.
- Good understanding of NIS, Active directory, OS patching processes.
- Hands on operational knowledge of storage, SAN switches, backup tape libraries, virtual tape libraries etc.
- Good working experience of Operating System Security and configuration.
- Experience (desirable) of networking technologies including Cisco switches, routers, VLANs, Access Lists, firewalls, port configuration.
Experience required:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in the design, configuration, testing, delivery and support of Data Centre Operations and Compute Services.
- Prior experience in Manufacturing (automotive indurstry) or similar industry.
- Experience working in a dynamic & highly demandind environment.
- Experience in handling cross functional, cross tower teams.
Special working conditions:
- On call support during out-off offcie hours and weekends required on need basis to attend major or critical incidents.
- Willing to work in shifts.
