Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are seeking to have a talented Software Test Engineer join our progressive, creative and innovative team of technology and marketing professionals to continue to build on a world-first marketing strategy technology platform.
You will work in a small but growing team from the ground up, testing developed technology that is faster, smarter and more intuitive by design.
Being part of our technology team will ensure that you have fulfilling work within a successful business structure.
The Role and Responsibilities
• Designing and executing tests as part of sprints and regression tests
• Develop software and scripts to improve and automate testing and analysis
• Setting up and maintaining test environments
• Performing tests using an Exploratory Testing approach
• Work closely with our engineering team to define the test specifications
• Writing clear bug reports
• Actively contributing suggestions for enhancement of functionality of system
• Assisting in the production of support manuals and testing documents
• Helping support team to respond to client queries
Required Skills and Experience
• An excellent communicator
• At least 3+ years’ experience in testing or support
• 3+ years of experience of working with Linux base system
• Ability to design, develop and execute tests both with and without specifications
• Proven experience in test case writing, test execution, bug reporting and test summary reports
• Hands on Experience with API Functional Testing, API System Integration Testing using tools like Postman, Soap UI.
• Analytical minded and attention to detail is essential
• Must be able to work autonomously but also be a team player
• Able to work cooperatively in a small office environment
• Experience with UI/UX
• Experience in Python development
• Experience with Django
Highly desirable:
• Jira/Scrum
• Networking
• AWS
• Scripting using Bash/Python/PowerShell
• Automation experience
• Context-Driven Approach to Software Testing
